Here are some more cute pictures

Day 13 and going strong

We are doing okay.  Thanks to friends and family, Sophia, Chloe and I have been very busy.  It helps to be busy.

Every morning Sophia picks out her special note from daddy and every night she watches a book-video.  Chloe has mastered saying "hi" and waving to the phone as I talk to Seth.

We miss you Seth.  We are thankful for all the hard work you are doing...We love you!

Here a few pictures from the past few days.

If you're happy and you know it...

It's been a long time coming, but Chloe now claps her hands.  In fact, anytime she hears "yeah" she claps and then looks for praise.  She definitely knows how to make us smile!

P.S.  Sorry for the lousy picture.

Three Wheels

The other day a kid tandem bike attachment was left on our porch (our neighbors are awesome). Coincidentally,  last month Sophia saw a father and daughter riding down the street together on a tandem bike and hasn't stopped talking about how "cool" it was.

So, this weekend Seth attached the tandem-part to his bike and took Sophia for a ride.  I'm not sure who enjoyed it more.

You know who you are...

Since Monday evening, Seth and I have been on a roller coaster of emotions. Numb, angry, scared, sad, confused, blessed and hopeful. We are blessed to have a supportive group of family and friends.

Thank you for all that you have done for us; love, listening ears, prayers, kind words, and now the "anonymous" letter mailed to our house.

As I type this, tears are rolling down cause I know that we will be OK thanks to all of you.

I promise we will pay this forward some day (hopefully soon).

Having her cake and eating it too

On Saturday, January 31st, we celebrated Chloe's 1st birthday. We had a very small gathering and enjoyed Chloe's favorite meal - breakfast. We served lots of oatmeal, yogurt with granola and fruit, eggs, scones, cookies, and of course cake. Lastly, we toasted to a happy and healthy 1st year of life with mimosas.
Here's picture of Chloe enjoying her carrot cupcake. I wish I could say this was Chloe's first introduction to sweets...but being the 2nd child brings the privilege of eating sweets at an early age.

Happy Birthday Chloe! We love you so much.

These are the People in our Neighborhood...

For years a handful of families in our neighborhood have gathered weekly for playgroup. We have all watched the older kids grow-up and witnessed the pregnancies of their siblings. And now, the youngest sibling, Chloe, is turning 1 years old on Saturday. Today at playgroup we threw an impromptu party for Lila (who turned 2 years old on Wednesday) and Chloe. I feel blessed to live in such a wonderful neighborhood with such amazing families.
