Ducks Only Please

On Sunday Seth and I took Chloe to the zoo. This is the first time that Chloe has been to the zoo without her sister dictating how and when to the see the animals. This time Chloe was in charge. When asked which animal she would like to see first, she said "quack quack." OK, ducks it was. So we headed over to the flamingos and ducks. Stayed there for some time and then wandered over to see other animals. But, every time we asked her what she wanted to see next, she would say "quack quack." She enjoyed the other animals, especially the ant eater, but ducks were clearly her favorite. I guess the next trip Chloe and I will take is to feed the ducks at McKinley Park.

Frequent Flyer

On Friday Sophia flew to SoCal (with Grammy) to visit Grammy and Opa, leaving us behind in Sacramento. She was so excited to have a "big girl" trip. And the grandparents are also very excited to spend quality time with her.

I call every morning and night, but she's too busy to even talk to us on the phone! I did get an e-mail from Sophia asking if she could go to Disneyland.
I guess, no parents = lots of fun.

A Special Picture

Every day Sophia is practicing her writing and drawing. She asks how to spell everyone's names and how to draw certain items. Here is a recent drawing that she did for me. She has mastered writing "mom" and drawing butterflies. I love it!

Couch Cousins

Last week my sister and her two sons came to visit. Her oldest, Timothy, is 2 years old and her youngest, Nicolas, is 5 weeks old. Sophia and Chloe both loved holding the baby. And, Timothy loved dragging Sophia and Chloe all around the house. It was a short yet wonderfully fun visit.
