Easter Eggs and Matzah Balls

Yesterday was a wonderful day of celebration.  Easter and then Passover!

We spent the morning with our neighborhood at the 4th Annual Spring Potluck (hosted by the Elmhurst Parents Group).  There was face painting, a jump house, a craft project, egg hunt, and a visit from the Easter Bunny.  Sophia loved searching for the eggs, and of course finding the candy and stickers inside.  Chloe even crawled around and picked up an egg.

Matzah Time

After a brief nap, we headed to Savta's (grandma's) house for our family Passover dinner.  This year Aunt Emily and Cousin Timmy came into town.  The three kids played so well together! Dinner was fantastic; Chloe devoured it!  She ate 2 whole matzah balls, krugal, brisket and then lots of dessert.  The only thing she wouldn't eat were the carrots.

It was a very long day...but so much fun.

Coffee Break

This morning I took the girls to the "coffee-shop" (i.e. Starbucks) for a treat.   We purchased a vanilla scone to share, I got my usual drink and Sophia chose a vanilla milk.  Chloe kept reaching for my coffee, so I decided to get her a matching cup filled with water.  It did the trick, she sat (on the counter) contented with sipping her own drink.  Everyone enjoyed watching her.

Day 13 and going strong

We are doing okay.  Thanks to friends and family, Sophia, Chloe and I have been very busy.  It helps to be busy.

Every morning Sophia picks out her special note from daddy and every night she watches a book-video.  Chloe has mastered saying "hi" and waving to the phone as I talk to Seth.

We miss you Seth.  We are thankful for all the hard work you are doing...We love you!

Here a few pictures from the past few days.

If you're happy and you know it...

It's been a long time coming, but Chloe now claps her hands.  In fact, anytime she hears "yeah" she claps and then looks for praise.  She definitely knows how to make us smile!

P.S.  Sorry for the lousy picture.

Three Wheels

The other day a kid tandem bike attachment was left on our porch (our neighbors are awesome). Coincidentally,  last month Sophia saw a father and daughter riding down the street together on a tandem bike and hasn't stopped talking about how "cool" it was.

So, this weekend Seth attached the tandem-part to his bike and took Sophia for a ride.  I'm not sure who enjoyed it more.
